You can guarantee that Apple’s media event next week at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco will cover a lot more than antennas but exactly what, no one knows for sure.

This afternoon Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) sent out invitations to the media for an event on Sept. 1. Other than the words: “Please join Apple on September 1 for a Special Event,” no hints were dropped as to what the announcement would be. The art was even more puzzling, and featured an acoustic guitar with a sound hole in the shape of an Apple logo. If history is any indication, Apple will unveil a new line of iPods for the holidays, like they had done in the past few years. But rumors are surfacing that there could be something else….A refresh of Apple TV? A streaming music service? Or, maybe a smaller iPad (umm, a larger iPod Touch)?
