BabyCenter Head Tina Sharkey Says Site Worth $500 Million - $1 Billion
Tina Sharkey, global president of Johnson & Johnson-owned baby site BabyCenter, says she gets three calls per week from parties interested in acquiring the site, though of course it is fully owned by Johnson & Johnson. Speaking at the Momentum Conference, Sharkey denied that J&J was interested in selling the site, but that it could fetch between $500 million and $1 billion, reports Tech Confidential. The price tag would be a nice score for J&J, which acquired the site for $10 million back in 2001.
