Behavioral Targeter AudienceScience Adds $20 Million In Funding

AudienceScience, the behavioral targeting firm formerly known as Revenue Science, has raised $20 million in funding from previous backers Mohr, Davidow Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Meritech Capital Partners and Integral Capital Partners. The company will use the money for new hires, tech R&D and a continued international expansion. It’s a big vote of confidence from the Valley—particularly amid the FTC’s increased scrutiny and pending regulation of the online ad-targeting industry. AudienceScience has raised well over $50 million in funding in total. Release.

What are you talking about…we advertise with them…the new CEO is doing an amazing job.  The company is profitable and a leading audience targeting provider…I say good for them!!

This company has had a long, sad history. They have also had a few different CEO's and a few different names. Really oddball stuff. Can't even imagine how much cash they have burned through but it must be in the high "tens of millions" since inception.
