Blake Krikorian Investing In Startup Clicker.com, Joining Board

Blake Krikorian of Slingbox fame has joined the board of another internet TV venture: start-up Clicker.com, now in private beta. Krikorian is investing in the company founded by Jim Lanzone, the former CEO of Ask.com; other investors include Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures. Clicker’s ambitious goal is to be the complete programming guide to Internet television. Krikorian certainly knows the subject, although his biggest success so far was using the internet as a pipe for people to view the programming on their own TV sets remotely. He was on the list this summer for the still-unfilled CEO post at DirecTV (NYSE: DTV), left vacant when Chase Carey went back to News Corp (NYSE: NWS). but that position is part of a power struggle now between the board and Liberty Media (NSDQ: LINTA).
