Blog Search Provider Lijit Acquires Comment Searcher BigSwerve
Boulder, CO-based Lijit, a provider of search tools for blogs, has acquired comment search engine BigSwerve. Lijit, which helps publishers collect stats on how readers use the site, says the acquisition will allow it to mine blog comments for more useful data. BigSwerve says it has searched 400 million comments since its inception in 2006. It has backing from First Round Capital, which will now be an investor in Lijit, according to the release. Lijit raised a $3.3 million round early last year. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. Release.
