Boulder, CO-based Madkast, a maker of tools to facilitate sharing of blog content, has raised an initial $300,000 round from a long list of investors including EONBusiness Venture Capital and Brad Feld, according to a post on the company’s blog. In addition to tools that encourage readers to email blog items or post them to social news sites, the company also offers analytical tools to publishers, helping them track how their content is shared and consumed. It plans to use the funding to hire developers. The company was formed at the TechStars program, a YCombinator-like start-up camp in Boulder, and is owned by Zemble, the maker of a free SMS service.
