Bunchball Gets $4 Million in Second Round Funding
Bunchball, a social gaming firm based in Redwood City, CA which develops services to allows third-party content sites to become more engaging for users, has received $4 million in its second round of funding, from previous backers Granite Ventures and Adobe Ventures, reports TheDeal. This follows a $2 million round raised in late 2006. Among its first clients was NBC, which developed a companion site to its television comedy series “The Office”, and used Bunchball’s services to develop a virtual branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin company.
