Eldercare info site Caring.com has bought up Gilbert Guide, an online senior housing guide and homecare directory. Visitors to Gilbert Guide can look up various providers and also connect with experts. Caring.com, meanwhile, offers original content on eldercare topics and also has a set of online forums. Caring.com says that its members will now be able to access the Gilbert Guide directory. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed—although it was a stock transaction. Caring.com raised $6 million in a first round of funding in September 2007. Gilbert Guide had about 64,000 unique visitors to its site last month, while Caring.com had about 245,000 visitors, according to Compete figures. Release.
