CBS Hasn’t Yet Bought Digg; Ties Up On Elections Instead

While the Digg acquisition deal is still being worked on by various interested parties, it has tied up with CBSNews.com, whereby the news site will add political news and analysis from across the Web/Digg to its coverage of presidential elections. “Throughout the primary and general election, headlines from campaign and candidate-related stories discovered and chosen by Digg’s audience will be featured on CBSNews.com. The site will also feature Digg buttons alongside articles and videos, making it easy for its audience to submit and rate Digg content.” Would be interesting if all of this does lead to a deal, though it will come down to money mainly.
News.com: CBS Interactive (NYSE: CBS) President Quincy Smith said it ultimately wants to see “content beyond politics” as part of the Digg partnership, and perhaps more Digg content on more CBS properties.
