Chinese Video Sharing Site Youku Raises $25 Million Third Round

Chines video-sharing site Youku.com has raised a big $25 million third round from Bain Capital subsidiary Brookside Capital Partners and previous backers Sutter Hill Ventures, Farallon Capital Management and Chengwei Ventures, according to Sohu (NSDQ: SOHU) quoting Youku president Victor Koo (via Pacific Epoch). The company raised two rounds last year of $12 million and $3 million, for a total haul of $40 million. The company, which claims it will be profitable in 2008, says it will use the funding to invest in infrastructure and operations.
