Cisco CEO Chambers Talks Small—Not RIM—When It Comes M&A
Yes, Cisco Systems (NSDQ: CSCO) has money to spend but not on consumer device acquisitions, according to CEO John Chambers —which seems to rule out BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (NSDQ: RIMM) but isn’t likely to stop the speculation. Chambers told the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet conference in San Francisco, according to Reuters: “Within the consumer side of the house, I have no interest in a device.”
Chambers does plan “multiple acquisitions but most of them will be small.” Suggestions anyone?
