Enterprise social software company SocialText has secured $3 million as it looks to raise a $6.5 million third round financing, PEHub reports, citing a regulatory filing. The company, which makes collaborative wiki platforms for businesses, has backing from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, SAP and the Omidiyar Network, which helped provide $3 million in its second round. Additional funding also comes from Mark Pincus, CEO of Tribe.net; Reid Hoffman, the Chairman of LinkedIn; Joi Ito and Jun Makihara, the CEO and chairman of Japanese venture capital firm Neoteny, respectively; and Director of Social Media at Pure Visibility Edward Vielmetti. On top of all those backers, SocialText executives also have contributed to the company’s financing: CEO Ross Mayfield, CTO Peter Kaminski and SocialText VP of Products Adina Levin.
