Conde Nast Digital Starts Feeding Video Content To Boxee

Boxee users will now be able to watch video clips from Wired.com (like this one on how to set up a chemistry lab in your house) and Style.com, as well as Style.com’s photo slideshows. Conde Nast Digital has become the latest media provider to do a content distribution deal with the browser-based streaming media startup.

No details on whether there’s a rev-share (the clips from Wired.com autoplay ads in advance, for example), but Conde Nast Digital said it would be funneling more video to Boxee from other sites in the future. CEO Avner Ronen told us that brokering new deals like this was a big priority; Boxee most recently scored a live-streaming deal with MLB.tv. The startup just raised $6 million in a second round of funding led by General Catalyst Partners. Release.
