Connect@EconSM Is Open For Business

imageRegistration for our upcoming conference The Economics of Social Media includes membership in Connect@EconSM—our first full-featured social network. Connect@EconSM provides a private appointment system for the conference, a community blog and several features to help you stay in touch and collaborate with other participants.
Produced for us by Marc Canter and his team at Broadband Mechanics as a custom version of PeopleAggregator V 1.2,  Connect@EconSM is a work in progress so we’ll be adding features as we go. Features already launched include personalization; a searchable participants directory with name, company and title; a community blog; and a community media gallery. Members can create their own groups and blogs, too. In a sense, this is the beginning of the conference—and we hope it will help continue the conversation past April 26.
If you have registered and you have not received your login or are having other problems logging in, please contact help AT econsm.com. If you want to register for the conference, go here.

This system is pretty cool, and useful. I posted a blog to let the world know why I was attending the show and what I was looking for…I’ve got 3 meetings set up as a result of people reading the post and reaching out to me. I feel like the conference is already working for me. That’s kinda nice since attending a one day conference in L.A. is a 3-day process for me (2 travel days plus the conference day).

Pat—This is exactly what we were hoping for when we decided to do a social net for EconSM. Thanks for writing about it. Staci
