Content Mashup Site Zude Gets $5 Million
Zude, a content mashup start-up launching in two weeks, has received $5 million in private investment from unnamed investors, Mashable reports. Once users logged in, they are instructed to open a new browser window and grab any content at will –for example, a photo, a video, a widget, or an entire web page – and drop it on their Zude page. From there, it can be manipulated, resized, or given functions such as alt text or hyperlinks. On the Zude site, the company pitches its offering as “both an enhancement to the MySpace’s of the world, as well as the next generation and ultimate evolution of web interaction.”
Alarm Clock: Zude was created by parent company Fifth Generation.
