CrowdGather Buys Up MP3 Player Community Site

CrowdGather, which owns a network of community sites, has bought up tech review site Anythingbutipod.com. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Anythingbutipod—which was started by Grahm Kee four years ago—claims 62,000 members who have started more than 40,000 discussions about non- Apple made MP3 players and software. CrowdGather has bought up a series of community sites, including Zune community site Zuneboards and hobbyist site Zealot.com last year. The company says the “mobile demographic” is a key target as it expands. Release.
