We missed this one last week, but massively multiplayer online game portal Curse.com has raised $6 million in a second round of funding. PEHub says new backers Ventech and SoftTech VC, along with existing investor AGF Private Equity participated. The site lets users set up profiles, download game add-ons, read news, and access forums; a basic version is free, although Curse charges $4.95 a month for additional features, such as faster downloads of game add ons and exclusive giveaways. The company also owns several game-specific sites, including DiabloFans.com and AionSource.com. Curse last raised cash in July 2007, when it raised $5 million in a first round. Founder Hubert Thieblot tells TechCrunch that the the company brought in $3 million in revenue this year and is profitable.
