The D Schwag Bags--Extended VersionMySpace’s $250 million acquisition of online photo site Photobucket will be announced tomorrow at the D conference by Peter Chernin, who’s slated to speak. The Photobucket team is here as well, including CEO Alex Welch. We reported on the acquisition earlier this month. One of the other big media company CEOs speaking (not too hard to guess) is also announcing a deal tomorrow, but that’s about all I know…trying to find out more but you’ll hear about it tomorrow anyway.
Also tomorrow, Jason Calacanis’ new company Mahalo.com is launching. Something more public: Palm is announcing a new mobile device, also tomorrow. Jeff Hawkins, founder of Palm, will do a live webcast of the launch. More details on it here.

And of course, the schwag bags..yes, last year it was one big bag, this year there are two, full of mostly good-looking but useless stuff. Best one: a pair of YouTube tube socks. The full list of the items in the bags is here from Eric Savitz. The pic is here.

All the pics from D on the Flickr stream here.
