Industry Moves Roundup: Google; CBS; JumpTV; Westwood One; Gorilla Nation

Google: Adam Bosworth, VP of product management, has left his post as head of the Google Health (NSDQ: GOOG) project, SearchEngineLand reported. Bosworth joined Google in 2004 and began to develop the health information portal in early 2006. Until a permanent replacement is found, Marissa Mayer, VP-search products and user experience, will oversee the health team.

CBS: Angie Kucharski, a senior executive at the CBS-owned stations WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV, has been promoted to the new post of VP-media strategies for CBS Television Stations. In addition to helping lead and develop the network’s digital initiatives, Kucharski will be a liaison for the affiliate station group and the network news division. She will be based in New York and report to Tom Kane, president-CEO of the 29-member station group. Release

JumpTV: William Stephen, a former ad sales exec at AOL (NYSE: TWX), has joined online ethnic rebroadcaster JumpTV (AIM: JTV) (TSX: JTV) as head of global sales. Stephen is charged with managing sales for JumpTV’s site, as well as for third-party sites that run the company’s branded media player. He will also coordinate sales efforts with some of JumpTV’s rebroadcast partners, such as Telefónica and AOL Video. Before taking on this role, Stephen, a former AOL exec, was an SVP for sales and strategy at sports-related site LAT34.com (funded by AOL initially).  A 20-year-plus publishing vet, Stephen has also worked at Time Inc., Ziff Davis and International Magazines US in a variety of roles. Westwood One: As part of a major reorg of its digital media/interactive division, Westwood One (NYSE: WON) has made two hires: Adam Niemen, formerly of Clear Channel Interactive, has been appointed VP-interactive content; he will oversee all aspects of the creation, execution and maintenance of original content. Starting next week, Nicole Horsford, previously with viral marketing company Oddcast, joins as VP-interactive sales and marketing. Both Niemen and Horsford will be based in New York and will report directly to Chief Digital Media Officer Gary Krantz. Release (PDF)

Gorilla Nation: The online ad rep firm has hired Matt Stodder, formerly Yahoo Entertainment’s (NSDQ: YHOO) director of Ad Solutions, as VP/-sales strategy & operations. He came to Yahoo through the internet portal’s acquisition of music site Launch.com seven years ago. He was in charge of publishing at Launch, but before that, Stodder was a former politics editor at LATimes.com. Release
