Seattle-based SEOmoz.org, an SEO blog and community site with 30,000 users, has raised $1.25 million from VC firm Ignition Partners (via Alarm:Clock).  In addition to the company’s core blog content, the site recently introduced a paid membership tier, where users can get access to SEO experts, premium information and SEO tools.  The site claims that 1,000 users have signed up for the $49.00/month (or $399/year) service, and that it’s looking to expand these numbers.  With so much SEO content out there, it could be a challenge for the company to grow this premium business.  But as things like SEO conferences demonstrate, this is an area where people are willing to pay stay on the cutting edge.
