Audible, (NSDQ: ADBL) the spoke-word digital audio company, has reported its Q3 earnings, and revenues were $27.6 million, up 38 percent over the $20.0 million reported in Q306. Net losses decreased to $192K, from the $2.52 million in the year-ago quarter.

During the quarter 63K new AudibleListener members were added, a decrease from the 71K in Q306, but an increase from the 55K members reported in Q207. In total, there were 455K total AudibleListener members at the end of Q307, an increase compared to the 345K total members reported in Q306.

Its adjusted EBITDA improved significantly this year, and this has triggered a non-recurring employee profit-sharing-based incentive plan expense in Q3 that resulted in lower quarter-over-quarter profitability, the company said.
