Next week’s earnings results will again provide a gauge of the general health (or sickness) of the media industry, with both big conglomerates, like Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) and Time Warner (NYSE: TWX), and some smaller players reporting. McGraw-Hill’s earnings will be closely watched for any news of the proposed Business Week sale, while IAC (NSDQ: IACI) earnings should offer some more color on sales of display ads and the local market. Here’s our calendar:

Monday: A.H. Belo (NYSE: AHC) (NYSE: BLC), Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Communications

Tuesday: Rogers Communications; McGraw-Hill (NYSE: MHP) Companies; Interpublic Media; THQ; (NSDQ: THQI) Viacom; (NYSE: VIA) Electronic Arts

Wednesday: Akamai; (NSDQ: AKAM) IAC; Time Warner ; Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) ; Sprint (NYSE: S)

Thursday: Cablevision; (NYSE: CVC) Sony; (NYSE: SNE) WebMD; (NSDQ: WBMD) Reed Elsevier; (NYSE: RUK) RealNetworks; (NSDQ: RNWK) Lee Enterprises (NYSE: LEE)

Friday: Washington Post (NYSE: WPO)
