During this Q&A ad EconAds a few weeks ago, our founder, publisher and editor Rafat Ali interviewed Jo Ann Ross, president of network sales, CBS (NYSE: CBS) about the state of the upfront and CNET (NSDQ: CNET) acquisition, as well as CPM rates and the cancellation of Jericho. Ross explained that contrary to the commonly heard “upfront is dead,” statement, she sees upfronts becoming more interactive, and later on expressed her enthusiasm for the CNET purchase, particularly integrating the sales teams. The writeup of the Q&A is here, 21-minute video is after the jump (and RSS readers will have to click through.)
