Report: Editorial Cuts Coming at the WSJ

That’s according to Jeff Bercovici, reporting on Portfolio.com: the until-now relatively insulated Wall Street Journal newsroom may be in for a round of cuts and it may be announced later this week. The number could reach as high as 50, though with buyouts the actual number of layoffs could be much lower. Dow Jones (NYSE: NWS) Newswires, the wire service in the process of being better integrated with other DJ properties, and some Journal bureaus may be closed as well, the story points out. No comment from Dow Jones yet.

This comes after some changes at Barrons.com last month.
