Eldercare Info Site Caring.com Raises $6 Million First Round.

Caring.com, a Palo Alto-based startup focusing on eldercare-related content, has raised $6 million in its first round of funding The round was led by DCM and Split Rock Partners. The site, which is now entering beta, will feature free “how to” guides and access to other resources on topics related to healthcare, financial, legal and housing for the elderly.  In addition to building out a community care givers, it’s seeking to fill what it sees as a void in this area online.

The company was founded this year, and two of the three co-founders are from BabyCenter, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary.
