Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS), looking to transfer its video game titles into movie and TV deals, has signed on with Hollywood talent agency UTA. The company said that while it has been able to make the leap into media formats including online, social networks and print pubs, it admitted it needed some help in navigating Hollywood. That’s not to say EA hasn’t been entirely unsuccessful in that business. EA’s film and television slate currently includes a feature version of The Sims game, which the company says is in script development at 20th Century Fox. The same title is also being developed for an animated TV series with Film Roman. Lastly, EA is also in production with Starz/Film Roman on an animated DVD feature version of its new title Dead Space, which is timed to launch with the game. Release
