Ex-Apple VP’s Freepath Raises $1.3 Million For Multimedia Presentations

Folsom, CA-based Freepath, a startup helmed by ex-Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) VP John Stone, has raised a $1.3 million first round from Velocity Venture Capital, along with individuals from Strategis Early Ventures, Sacramento Angels and the Sierra Angels. The service allows users to create PowerPoint-like presentations that can support a range of media platforms, including Flash, iTunes, web sites and video. In the announcement, Stone said he originally considered investing in the company before deciding to take the CEO job. Release.
