Facebook Does The Management Shuffle; Van Natta No Longer COO

Kara Swisher has the blow-by-blow on some intricate changes in the Facebook management structure. Seems Own Van Natta is no longer COO but has been moved to chief revenue officer and VP-operations, moving him what appeared to be a position as co-founder-in-chief Mark Zuckerberg’s top lieutenant to a more diffused position as part of a larger group. Facebook PR told Boomtown not to look at it as a lessening of Van Natta’s duties but an expansion of the management team as it hovers between well-funded, fast-growing startup, acquisition target and possible mega IPO. The top tier now in addition to Van Natta: Chamath Palihapitiya, new VP-marketing and operation; Matt Cohler, VP-strategy and business operations;  new CFO Gideon Yu );  Dustin Moskovitz, co-founder and VP-product engineering; and CTO Adam D’Angelo.
