UpCompany, the parent company of RakedIn, the financial and company profiles portal launched by Michael Yavonditte, former CEO of Quigo, has raked in $5.73 million in a new round of funding, according to an SEC filing. The investors in the round include Unionsquare Ventures, and Vast Ventures, among plenty of others (the full list of investors in the company is here; other names include Gordon Crovitz and Allen Morgan). The NYC-based company did raise some money last year, though the investors and amount was undisclosed. RakedIn is similar to WikiInvest, and all the other financial portals, but besides public companies, it also profiles private companies and its executives as well.
