Former Reporter, Consultant Davis Now Heads Philly.com

Ryan Davis has been promoted to president of Philly.com after playing a lead role in an overhaul of the site as director of strategic operations for parent company Philadelphia Media Holdings. He will be responsible for all digital operations, including strategy, content and technology. He’s also responsible for a new outreach effort, the philly.com advisory board with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and high-tech execs. Davis, 32, was a reporter at the Baltimore Sun and St. Petersburg Times before getting an MBA and working for McKinsey & Co.. He focused on digital media during his year-plus as a consultant, joining PMH early this year. Release.
