Food-centric social network and blog aggregator FoodBuzz has raised $750K worth of a posed $1.25 million round of funding, according to an SEC filing. The S.F.-based startup did not immediately respond to our request for more info.

The FoodBuzz network attracts roughly 6.7 million unique monthly visits (per Quantcast); over 2,500 bloggers use it to distribute their content, with brands like Quaker, Contadina and Kikkoman running ads or custom content sponsorships. FoodBuzz has a myriad competitors, including big portals like AOL Food, Food Network and Epicurious.com, but noteworthy rivals in terms of unique presentation include foodie forum Chowhound, as well as Good Bite, the new video-blogger property from DECA.
