Fora.tv Gets $2 Million For Current Event-Focused Videos

The “C-SPAN of the Web,” as Fora.tv has been called, has finished its second round of funding, tacking $2 million to the $6 million it had raised so far, VentureBeat reports. Investors of this round were not disclosed. Fora.tv secured its first round of $4 million in May and had earlier received $2 million in seed funding from Adobe Systems, investor Will Hearst and others. The SF-based site provides online and mobile video of live speeches, debates and conferences produced by up to 145 partners, including C-SPAN, Georgetown University and Times of London. In October, Fora.tv announced in its blog that it had racked up 5,000 subscribers and 3.5 million video views on its YouTube channel.
