The funding speaks to the power of connections, as Small Batch’s CEO Jeffrey Veen, who previously helped start design consultancy Adaptive Path, and the company’s other co-founders have made names for themselves creating apps for tech companies for several years. The team behind Small Batch also created Measure Map, a blogging statistics tool that was acquired by Google (NSDQ: GOOG) and helped cement their status among a tight group of the San Francisco area’s entrepreneurs and investors.
