Fox Forming New Digital Studio Group; Appoints New Execs For It
Separate from all the turmoil at News Corp (NYSE: NWS) Digital and MySpace—Peter Levinsohn, aren’t you happy?—Fox Filmed Entertainment has formed a new digital group called Fox Digital Studios (FDS), focused on development, production and distribution of original and derivative programming for initial release on digital platforms. Separately, it has appointed Roger Mincheff to the newly-created position of SVP of Branded Entertainment for digital content, reporting to Levinsohn, who heads FFE; Mincheff will be responsible for monetizing all made-for-digital content for the company’s portfolio of production entities. As for FDS, former Fox Atomic executive David Worthen Brooks will oversee creative for the new digital studio, and Mincheff will work closely with FDS to monetize the content it creates.
Roger joins Fox after serving as CEO of Spacedog Media, a digital marketing agency he founded in 1998. Brooks was formerly Executive Creative Director of Fox Atomic Digital where he was responsible for all digital content creation.
