GetBack Media has raised $1.7 million in a first round. Beringea led the funding, but undisclosed investors from the company’s angel round also joined. The LA-based site aggregates vintage entertainment content like games, video and audio clips, and bundles it with tongue-in-cheek editorial. GetBack also produces the “Retro Minute”, a daily compilation clip that gets syndicated to Hulu, MSN Video and MySpaceTV. The site has undergone a number of changes, and VentureBeat says more will come, as GetBack plans to use the funds for site development and to expand its library.
