MLBAM has licensed online rights to BroadWebAsia Inc. That’s the investment company founded by Brad Greenspan, who helped get MySpace off the ground. Greenspan is chairman of the company, which owns and/or operates six web properties in China. The MLB site—www.major.tv/china—is in simplified Chinese and is being developed by BroadWebAsia’s Hupo.tv subsidiary in Shanghai.

In addition to video highlights, scores, stats, photos, and features, the site will stream “a number of live baseball games.” It will also will evangelize and teach baseball, including a section designed to teach would-be Chinese fans the rules of the game.
