E-commerce solutions firm GSI Commerce has purchased some assets of affiliate marketer Pepperjam. No financial details were released, although GSI is buying Pepperjam’s affiliate marketing network as well as its interactive marketing agency, which specializes in search. GSI says that by owning its own affiliate network it will be able to expand its suite of products “to a broader universe of prospective clients.” Pepperjam—which has 48 employees—will continue to operate independently.
