Hip-Hop-Influenced Personalized Start Page GlobalGrind Gets $4.5 Million Funding
A yet-to-launch personalized start page GlobalGrind has received about $3.5 million of a $4.5 million round it is raising, reports PEHub. The round was led by Accel Partners, along with hip-hop impresario Russell Simmons. Simmons was one of the investors in 360hiphop (later acquired by BET Interactive)...this new site has also been started by former executives of 360hiphop, including: CEO Navarrow Wright, CFO Richard Slomovitz and former 360hiphop CEO Osman Eralp.
The site will be in a heavily competitive space with Netvibes, Pageflakes and others, but the site will apparently have a “hip hop” spin. Some more on the site here.

All the investors are listed except Rev Run I don’t understand that or should I say why is that because on the show he gave a check to invest.
Why is it that Russell needed Rev Run to get involved in this so called investment is it that Russell is scared or he’s not going down by himself. I wish he REv Run would have went with his first idea of not investing his money unless he was sure of it. Rev continue investing in your children you are doing a good job at what you do.
