Bebo has hired Philip Macartney, a sales exec with Dublin’s FM104 radio station, as head of sales in Ireland, one of its most popular territories. Macartney a founder of online kiosk maker Every1online, is Bebo’s first appointment in Ireland and comes following its $850 million acquisition by AOL (NYSE: TWX), suggesting the portal parent wants to monetise the social network in one of its strongest and most obvious user bases.
