Industry Moves: CBS Adds Two To Audience Network

Joe Ferreira is being moved over from CBS Sportsline.com and has been named SVP and GM of online video syndication system The CBS Audience Network. Ferreira’s most recent post was as VP of programming, executive producer, CBS Sportsline.com. As part of his new job, Ferreira will manage the relationships with the 24 online partners that have signed up with the Audience Network. Additionally, Heather Moosnick, who recently served as general counsel for the launch of unsigned artist social net Music Nation, has been hired as VP for business development. Release

The CBS Audience Network, a unit of CBS Interactive, was unveiled in April, along with content deals with a variety of online distributors including AOL, Microsoft, CNET Networks, Comcast, Joost, Bebo, Brightcove, Netvibes, Sling Media and Veoh. All the site’s content, which includes clips and full-length programs, is advertiser supported and free to the consumer. In May, CBS said it was beginning “phase II” of the Audience Network by signing agreements with social network application providers to allow users to incorporate CBS-provided clips to their blogs, wikis, widgets and community pages. Its new partners include Automattic, Clearspring, DAVE Networks, Goowy Media, meebo, MeeVee, Musestorm, Ning, RockYou!, Slide, VideoEgg, Voxant and vSocial.
