— AOL (NYSE: TWX) Europe’s Chad Wollen is quitting the internet company for ITV (LSE: ITV), where he becomes director of marketing strategy, where he will develop the marketing and brand planning strategy for the broadcaster, reports NMA.co.uk. The former director of insight, foresight & media innovation at AOL Europe, will work across ITV’s consumer, broadcasting and global content divisions, and with its research and insight teams. He reports to ITV group marketing director David Pemsel.
— Mobile operator 3 has lost its chief marketer John Penberthy-Smith, after a restructuring of its sales and marketing team, reports Marketing Week. Current sales director Marc Allera takes over the marketing at 3, who will now lead the combined sales and marketing teams. 3 is hoping to make retail a priority following the restructure.
