Industry Moves: Ticketmaster; PRN; ChoiceStream

imageTicketmaster: Dave Butler has been promoted to the position of president at Ticketmaster North America; he previously served as CEO of ticketing software firm Paciolan, which Ticketmaster acquired last year. Butler will oversee the company’s primary ticket sales business in the U.S. and Canada; he will report to CEO Sean Moriarty. Release.

PRN: D. Scott Karnedy has joined Premier Retail Networks as chief sales officer. Karnedy joins the in-store video network from XM Satellite Radio; he’d served as SVP, sales and marketing solutions since 2003. Prior to XM, Karnedy held senior sales and marketing posts with Infinity Broadcasting, AOL, and Clear Channel. He will operate out of the company’s NY office. 

ChoiceStream: Yahoo’s former EVP and Chief Data Officer Usama Fayyad is joining the content recommendation and personalization firm’s board of directors. Cheryl Kellond, also from Yahoo, joins as SVP of advertising; she spent two years as Yahoo’s VP of advertiser product marketing. Media exec Lauren Reiss Frank has also joined as a strategic advisor; currently director of marketing and investor relations at Value Insight Partners, Frank previously served in a senior business development position with the WPP Group.
