Industry Moves: CNET Brings Former Time Inc. Ad Exec Jack Haire On As Adviser
An interesting move you’re reading about here first ... CNET Networks has hired Jack Haire, who retired from Time Inc. as EVP-corporate sales & marketing during the December 2005 re-org. Haire will work with CNET CEO Neil Ashe as special adviser “dedicated to optimizing the corporate advertising sales strategy in collaboration with the company’s leadership team.” Haire’s resume over 25 years at Time Warner included heading the TW Advertising Council, publisher of Time, president of the Fortune/Money Group. His consumer experience fits in with CNET’s push to build brands around passions and his contacts across the ad community should be a help. He’ll be based in New York.
