Industry Moves: Former TMZ Bureau Chief Lee Joins Fuller’s HollywoodLife.com

Bonnie Fuller has added some help in putting together and managing a digital newsroom by signing celeb news vet Will Lee as executive editor of HollywoodLife.com. Lee was at TMZ for nearly three years, starting as a producer but spending most of his tenure as New York bureau chief with a staff of seven for the LA-based celeb news site. Fuller’s plans call for about a dozen staffers, including a yet-to-be-hired LA bureau chief for her NY-based operation. Fuller tells paidContent the “substantiual revamp” of HollywoodLife.com, an entertainment news and style site aimed at women 18-35, is well underway, with plans for a mid-fall launch are still intact. (Yes, there is wiggle room there.)

HollywoodLife.com is part of Jay Penske’s Mail.com Media Corporation (MMC), which recently bought Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood and relaunched it as Deadline.com. Fuller joined as president and editor in July, dropping her own start-up plans in a tough funding market.
