You’re reading it here first ... MTVN is finally moving to fill a position left vacant since Ben White left for Sling Media; the official announcement is due later today. Dan Hart, who joined MTVN in 2004, has been promoted to SVP/GM of MTV Digital from VP-online games strategy and operations for MTVN. He’ll be responsible for “building upon the strong growth that MTV.com has experienced this year; delivering integrated experiences that link programming across all screens; furthering music programming on MTV.com, and leading new product development in the digital space.” In another sign of MTVN’s still-complex structure, Hart will report to both Christina Norman, president of MTV and Brian Graden, president of entertainment for MTVN Music Group—and will work “under the oversight” of Courtney Holt, EVP-digital music and media, MTVN Music Group on digital strategy and initiatives.

—Paul DeBenedittis has been promoted to VP-operations and Colin Helms to VP-programming for MTV Digital.
