Industry Moves: NetApp’s Eric Brown Takes Top Communications Spot At Yahoo
Yahoo has a new PR and corporate communications chief: Eric Brown, former VP of corporate relations at data storage and management company NetApp. As SVP of global communications, Brown will oversee everything from public affairs to social media outreach, reporting to new CMO Elisa Steele (also a former NetApp alum). He’s replacing Brad Williams, who had the top communications spot for a few months after Chief Communications Officer Jill Nash left in February.

Kara has the full welcome memo from Steele; in it, she notes that Brown was an ideal choice to help streamline Yahoo’s internal and external communications goals (and polish off the company’s image), since he’d most recently been in charge of similar efforts at NetApp. Release.
