Industry Moves: Omnicom Moves Resolution CEO Spiegel To OMG As Digital Head
Matt Spiegel, the CEO of Omnicom search marketer Resolution Media, has been tapped to succeed Sean Finnegan as CEO of Omnicom Media Group Digital, the ad holding company’s in-house interactive shop, AdAge reported. Finnegan announced that he was leaving the post in January to become chief media officer of in-text advertising start-up Vibrant Media.

Spiegel, 32, founded search marketing and analytics specialist Resolution Media in 2003. Omnicom bought the Chicago-based company in Nov. 2005. Spiegel will still be based in Chicago. As CEO of OMG Digital, Resolution reports to him. David Gould, who was recently named Resolution’s president, will handle the company’s daily operations.
Among his initial priorities when he starts his first day on April 1: further developing OMG Digital’s data and analytics functions. Additionally, he wants to focus on “innovation” and hiring new talent.
