Industry Moves: PCWorld and Macworld’s New CEO; SixApart’s New CEO
Couple of industry moves announced on Friday:
—Blogging software firm SixApart’s CEO Barak Berkowitz is stepping aside and would be replaced by Chris Alden, who has been running the company’s professional software unit…Berkowitz, who has been the CEO for more than three-and-a-half years (and also an investor) will transition out. Alden joined SixApart in early 2006 through the company’s acquisition of RSS reader Rojo Networks. Six Apart, which now employs 150 people worldwide, is based in San Francisco, with satellite offices in Tokyo and Paris.
—Mike Kisseberth is the new CEO of IDG’s PC World and Macworld, which follows controversy in May over he previous publisher. Prior to this Kissberth was SVP of Corporate Sales and Operations at CNET Networks.
