Peggy White is out midway through her second year as GM of Yahoo Finance. When White joined Yahoo from BusinessWeek back in October 2005, Rafat called it a sign that Yahoo finally was serious about its Yahoo Finance portal. Since her arrival the site, under the supervision of Scott Moore, has made significant strides even as it faces increased competition. But, for reasons as yet unclear, White’s unceremonious departure was announced late Wednesday ; the staff memo from Moore became public today via the comments area at Portfolio (which doesn’t seem to offer direct comment links).
