Industry Moves: Playboy Taps Former Maxim Editor Jellinek As SVP, Digital Content, Media
Playboy (NYSE: PLA) has named former Maxim editor Jimmy Jellinek as SVP for digital content, digital media, a new post, Folio reported. Jellinek will report to Tom Hagopian, EVP/GM of digital media. He’ll be based in New York and will start after Labor Day. Jellinek’s most recent role was VP of entertainment and programming for video site Heavy.com. He had returned to Heavy in February after being replaced at Maxim by Jim Kaminsky last August, just after the title’s parent Dennis Publishing was sold off for $240 million. During his first go-round at Heavy, Jellinek was the host of The Jimmy Show.
